Y Tywyddiadur

Prif nodwedd y gronfa hon yw'r dyddiad, mis neu'r flwyddyn penodol sydd yn sail i'ch cofnod. Mae'r tywydd wrth gwrs yn rhywbeth sydd yn digwydd "rwan", pryd bynnag yw neu oedd "rwan" i'r cofnodwr gwreiddiol; y bore yma efallai, diwrnod arbennig yn eich plentyndod, neu sylw mewn dyddiadur dwy ganrif yn ôl yn sir Feirionnydd.... efallai. Neu efallai bod cysylltiad y sylw a'r tywydd yn ymddangosiadol wan iawn: tylluan wen yn hela am dri o'r gloch y prynhawn ar ddyddiad arbennig o Chwefror; clywed y gog yn canu ddiwedd mis Mawrth; teilo cae at datws ddechrau’r gwanwyn. Tywydd....? efallai! Ffenoleg...? yn bendant.

Mae'r Tywyddiadur yn rhyngweithiol - hynny yw, mi allwch rhoi gwybodaeth i fewn iddo, neu chael gwybodaeth allan. Y cam cyntaf y byddwch yn cymryd wrth fentro ar y dudalen hon felly fydd dewis pa un rydych am ei wneud.... Chwilio ynteu Mewnbynnu (blychod chwilio ar y chwith mewn glas, blychod mewnbynnu ar y dde mewn coch).

(Ewch i’r gwaelod am ganllawiau cychwynnol).

CHWILIO: Chi biau’r dewis: mis neu gyfnod arbennig efallai, blwyddyn, gair (neu ddau air), neu ddiwrnod penodol (treiwch ddyddiad eich pen-blwydd). Cewch wneud cyfuniad o rhain.

MEWNBYNNU: Trwy fewnbynnu cewch ychwanegu at y gronfa a chreu adnodd mwy cynhwysfawr fyth i ymchwilwyr fel chi. Dim ond tri amod sydd ar eich cofnod: ei fod yn cynnwys rhyw fath o ddyddiad, lleoliad (bras neu fanwl), a bod y cofnod rhywfodd yn gysylltiedig â’r amgylchedd.

Dec. 31. Here must end the year 1751 Because by an Act of Parliament passed in April last for regulating the commencement of the year correcting the Calender, there are among other things enacted that the old computation of the year by which it begins on March 25th is not to be made use of throughout all British Dominions after December 31st, 1751, but Jany. 1st next following is to be reckoned the 1st day of the year 1752 ; and every year for the future to begin on January 1st instead of March 25th and the several days of each month after Jany 1, 1752 are to go on in ye same order as usual till September 2nd, the said year inclusive, but the natural day next immediately owing the said September 2nd, 1752, instead of the 3rd is to called the 14th of Sept. omitting onely for that time the 11 intermediate nominal days of the present calender, and the several natural days that shall follow the said 14th of September are to be reckoned forward in numerical order as usual and so continually.

2d. The Wind N. E. calm, cloudy, dark and cold raw weather, yet dry? all day: Supped to night at the Priest`s, being importuned by him to take a glass of his ale in the Evening, tho sore against my Will ? about 5 in the ,Evening word was brought him to come to William Davies who was then near expireing, he went there, and haveing read to him, and scarce finished the recomendatory Prayer, but he dyed a little before 6 . This honest good man had lived in my house and Service upwards of 32 years, always found him strictly honest and faithfull, was always sober, carefull & extream temperate, yet was frequently sickly and subject to fevers, was much given to give credit to dreams, & I believe this last sickness was entirely oweing to it; he always rented lands, in the beginning.he rented Dym[chwe sw] ? onely, but this last 17 or i8_years he rented the whole farm of Tai h?n, which he greatly improved by Sanding, fenceing & hay Seed, & some years Since he made a bargain with his Father for Bodelwyn which he greatly improved both in the farm and house, God had so visibly blessed what he had, that he was very rich when he dyed; but I shall take occasion to mention that, I hope, in anotherplace, gave the Priest`s Servant that lighted me home 6d.
