Y Tywyddiadur

Prif nodwedd y gronfa hon yw'r dyddiad, mis neu'r flwyddyn penodol sydd yn sail i'ch cofnod. Mae'r tywydd wrth gwrs yn rhywbeth sydd yn digwydd "rwan", pryd bynnag yw neu oedd "rwan" i'r cofnodwr gwreiddiol; y bore yma efallai, diwrnod arbennig yn eich plentyndod, neu sylw mewn dyddiadur dwy ganrif yn ôl yn sir Feirionnydd.... efallai. Neu efallai bod cysylltiad y sylw a'r tywydd yn ymddangosiadol wan iawn: tylluan wen yn hela am dri o'r gloch y prynhawn ar ddyddiad arbennig o Chwefror; clywed y gog yn canu ddiwedd mis Mawrth; teilo cae at datws ddechrau’r gwanwyn. Tywydd....? efallai! Ffenoleg...? yn bendant.

Mae'r Tywyddiadur yn rhyngweithiol - hynny yw, mi allwch rhoi gwybodaeth i fewn iddo, neu chael gwybodaeth allan. Y cam cyntaf y byddwch yn cymryd wrth fentro ar y dudalen hon felly fydd dewis pa un rydych am ei wneud.... Chwilio ynteu Mewnbynnu (blychod chwilio ar y chwith mewn glas, blychod mewnbynnu ar y dde mewn coch).

(Ewch i’r gwaelod am ganllawiau cychwynnol).

CHWILIO: Chi biau’r dewis: mis neu gyfnod arbennig efallai, blwyddyn, gair (neu ddau air), neu ddiwrnod penodol (treiwch ddyddiad eich pen-blwydd). Cewch wneud cyfuniad o rhain.

MEWNBYNNU: Trwy fewnbynnu cewch ychwanegu at y gronfa a chreu adnodd mwy cynhwysfawr fyth i ymchwilwyr fel chi. Dim ond tri amod sydd ar eich cofnod: ei fod yn cynnwys rhyw fath o ddyddiad, lleoliad (bras neu fanwl), a bod y cofnod rhywfodd yn gysylltiedig â’r amgylchedd.

We killed four pheasants around the Farm, and then tramped off to Dinas which we reached about 5.30...and then by rail to Aberangell [?] station, and with John Richards as our guide we walked up to Maesygarnedda Farm, which we reached very tired. A fine morning, with no wind. We beat around the Farm during the morning, but we only killed a hare and a rabbit, and we then and a steep walk up to the moor, intending to make our way homewards by Penantigi [?]. We saw few birds, and those we did see were very wild.... Lloyd shot a snipe on his way [Caerynwch hill] and ought to have killed a teal. Maesygarnedda Snipe 1. Hare 1. Rabbit 1.

We went up by the 8.40 train to Drws-y-nant, and began by beating the same ground as yesterday, but could not find birds. We then went up to the moor for snipe, and saw at least a dozen, but only killed a couple, powder being crooked. Through the Drws-y-nant covert, we went on to Cae Coch, and saw one small covey of partridges, but were unlucky with them. and returning in the evening through the Drws-y-nant covert, John Davies, who carried Wynne`s gun after lunch, killed a woodcock, and we saw, I think, two others. The Minor, Wynne and i were up early putting up a net in the covert to act as a stop. Breakfast was at 9 o`clock, and finer weather for a shoot could not be wished for. We beat the usual coverts, besides taking in Lyttulys, and Werngoch. We saw 8 or 9 woodcock, but none were killed - nor was powder as straight as it might have been. We lunched out. Wynne started off to commence his business at Manchester; and Dor .. went with him. after seeing them off the Minor and I with Kate started off alone for a long ramble in the hills after snipe. Commencing at Coed we walked over the Iron Mines, Caerynwch hill, and on towards Coedmaeswglog. The day was cold, but the snipe lay well consequently birds were well accounted for. The Minor and I shot over Coedmaeswglog. Cefn is?a, and Dolga??edd, but had a poor day`s sport. To begin with we had not our proper guns, and this may have been a sufficient excuse for our letting off four woodcock, which we flushed in the Cefn ifsa [sic] dingle. The cock pheasant was killed near Dolwaithog on our way home. We found no partridges on Coedmaeswglog, although we spared no pains to find them.We were home by 5 o`clock.... There was a keen frost, but the weather was beautiful. Another white frost, followed by a beautiful day. We tried some of the best places for woodcock in the Home covert and we killed two very quickly. ... Our sport was brought to an abrupt and sad termination, for Capt Currey mistook poor dear Nell for a rabbit, and shot her very badly in the thigh, we tried every means to save her, but the poor creature died at midnight, much to the Minor`s sorrow: it was a sad ending for such a good dog.
